Smuggling in South Africa: Man caught at the airport with 150 scorpions

Cape Town – A man was arrested at Cape Town airport for trying to smuggle 150 scorpions. As the South African police announced on Saturday, the 28-year-old had hidden the poisonous animals in his luggage between items of clothing. His arrest took place on Friday based on intelligence tips. No information was given about his planned destination. The man was scheduled to appear in court on Monday.
