Josh Hokit reproduces conspiracy theory about the former US first lady; the heavyweight celebrated alongside Donald Trump
The MMA fighter sparked controversy this Sunday (July 14, 2026) when she said that the former first lady of the United States “is a man” after defeating heavyweight Derrick Lewis in the held at the White House in Washington.
The phrase refers to an evidence-free conspiracy theory about the wife of the former president of the United States (Democratic Party). UFC President Dana White later said the statement was false and stated that “hate this kind of nonsense“. The White House did not comment on the fighter’s statement.
Hokit celebrated the victory alongside the President of the United States, Donald Trump (Republican Party) and presented him with the chain he was wearing.
Undefeated in his career, Hokit knocked out Lewis in the 3rd round and took advantage of the post-fight interview to praise the Republican, who was watching the 1st row event.
“Screw the speech. Shout out to Trump for having the courage to do something like this“, stated the fighter. Then he said: “And if I’m going to say anything, there is only one person more incredible than the ‘Incredible Hok’, and that is my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ“.
In addition to speaking about Michelle Obama, Hokit also challenged the fighter Alex Pereira, who challenged for the interim heavyweight belt in the main fight of the night.
In a podcast interview “Undefeated & Undisputed”, the athlete stated that promoter Mick Maynard approached and told him he was “Donald Trump’s new favorite fighter” after a victory at UFC 327.
