He has been convicted of two cases of rape and mistreatment of one of his ex-girlfriends, among other crimes.

An Oslo court sentenced Marius Borg Høiby, son of Princess Mette-Marit of Norway, to four years in prison on Monday for two cases of rape and mistreatment of one of his ex-girlfriends, among other crimes, public television NRK reported. Høiby, 29, who is not part of the Norwegian Royal Family, was acquitted of two other rapes by the court.
The Prosecutor’s Office had requested seven years and seven months in prison for the 40 crimes of which the young man was accused, while the defense requested acquittal of the most serious accusations and accepted a lesser sentence of one year and six months for the charges that he has admitted, including transporting marijuana and threats.
