The Nova School of Business was once again considered the best Portuguese school for a master’s degree in Finance, occupying 7th place in the world ranking.
Portugal returns to stand out in international higher educationwith six national institutions integrating what distinguishes the best master’s degrees in Finance in the world.
The list, made up of 70 global reference schools, includes Nova School of Business and Economics (Nova SBE), a Católica Lisbon School of Business and Economicso Higher Institute of Economics and Management (ISEG), the Faculty of Economics of the University of Porto (FEP), a Iscte Business School ea Católica Porto Business School.
The Portuguese leadership continues to belong to the Nova School of Business and Economics, which, despite falling from 6th to 8th place in the world, remains the best-ranked national institution. The school stood out particularly in the indicator that assesses the international dimension of careers of its graduates.
In second place among Portuguese schools is the Católica Lisbon School of Business and Economics, which had a significant risemoving from 23rd to 19th in the world. The salary progression of former students was one of the decisive factors for this performance. According to the institution, graduates experience salary increases of more than 50% in the three years after completing the course.
The third national place belongs to ISEG – Lisbon School of Economics and Management, which fell from 27th to 33rd position. Even so, it stands out for presenting the best salary progression among Portuguese schools, with an average increase of 75% in graduates’ earnings.
The Faculty of Economics of the University of Porto occupies 43rd position globally, two below the previous edition. However, it maintains one of its main distinguishing marks: for the second consecutive year it is the best Portuguese school and the seventh in the world in the “Value for Money” indicatorwhich assesses the relationship between the cost of training and the professional benefits obtained after completion.
Among the highlights of this year’s edition is also the return from Iscte Business School to the ranking, after two years of absence. The school reappears directly in the global Top 50, occupying 47th position.
The biggest increase among national institutions was registered by Católica Porto Business School, which advanced nine placesfrom 63rd to 54th position, driven mainly by improvements in the employability indicators of its graduates.
