Sweden beats Tunisia and debuts with victory in the World Cup

Sweden defeated Tunisia 5-1 this Sunday (14), in a clash in the first round of the 2026 World Cup. The result left the European team at the top of the group, which still includes the Netherlands and Japan.

After just four minutes, Sweden had their first opportunity with center forward Viktor Gyökeres, finishing over the opponent’s goal.
