1st Panel of the STF analyzes complaint against Eduardo Bolsonaro

The former deputy’s defense did not present a statement; The defense tried to postpone the analysis, but the request was denied

The 1st Panel of the Federal Supreme Court (STF) will judge this Tuesday (June 16, 2026), starting at 2 pm, the criminal action against former federal deputy Eduardo Bolsonaro (PL-SP). Behind the scenes at the Court, the analysis of the case is seen as a response by Minister Alexandre de Moraes to two recent episodes abroad: Italy’s refusal to extradite the licensed deputy Carla Zambelli (PL-SP) and the notification sent by the Miami Court in the context of the action filed by the companies Rumble and Trump Media.

Eduardo did not present a statement in the process. His defense was conducted in a formal manner by the DPU (Federal Public Defender’s Office), which requested the trial be postponed. Moraes denied the request and believes that the former deputy has disrespected the decisions and authority of the Court.
