The judicial investigation for the alleged asset depletion of the Cellex and Mir-Puig foundations, which were financially supported by the legacy of the industrialist Pere Mir, remains paralyzed in Plaza 12 of the Court of Instance of Barcelona. The case, however, gains renewed momentum in another court: Jordi Segarra, Juan Francisco Capellas and those accused of keeping part of the assets of these two entities, have decided to file a complaint for slander and insults against the complainant, Àngel Surroca, whom they accuse of making “manifestations contrary to the honor” of the three. The head of the Investigative Court number 33 has admitted the complaint and has summoned Surroca, and several witnesses, to testify on September 28.
