Algarve companies have 11 million to invest in productive innovation

Algarve 2030 opened a new application notice with a global allocation of 11 million euros, aimed at supporting productive investment, business innovation and the creation of qualified jobs in the region.

According to CCDR Algarve, the competition aims to “strengthen the competitiveness of companies in the region, support productive innovation and promote the creation of qualified jobs”.

Of the total amount available, 4.4 million euros are reserved for projects located in low-density territories in the Algarve, in a commitment to diversifying the regional economy, territorial cohesion and establishing population and investment in the Algarve interior.

Micro, small and medium-sized companies that wish to develop innovative investments can apply, namely through the introduction of new products, services, production processes or business models.

Support covers modernization, expansion and new investments

The support is intended for the creation of new establishments, increasing the production capacity of existing units, diversifying the production of goods and services or modernizing production processes.

Eligible expenses include machinery and equipment, technologies and software, technology transfer, specialized engineering and architectural services, technical studies, marketing plans and other expenses directly associated with the implementation of projects.

According to CCDR Algarve, the objective is to “support innovation, competitiveness and the creation of qualified jobs”, contributing to a more diversified, sustainable regional economy oriented towards national and international markets.

In the Algarve, projects in the industry and tourism sectors benefit from particularly favorable conditions, with construction and renovation expenses representing up to 70% of eligible investment.

In industrial projects included in the Regional Smart Specialization Strategy, RIS3 Algarve, this percentage can reach 90%, reinforcing the incentive for productive investment in strategic areas for the region.

Registration closes until September 30th

Candidate projects must present a minimum eligible investment of 300 thousand euros.

For CCDR Algarve, this competition constitutes “a strategic opportunity for Algarve companies to invest in productive modernization, innovation, the creation of qualified jobs and increased regional competitiveness”.

The entity also emphasizes that the notice aims to contribute to “a more diversified, resilient and sustainable economy”, reinforcing the Algarve’s ability to attract investment, qualify companies and enhance low-density territories.
