“On the R1 road at the 128th kilometer in the direction from Žiar nad Hronom to Zvolen, there was a traffic accident involving three vehicles. The preliminary cause of the accident should have been the failure of the vehicles to brake in the section where there is work on the road and there is a narrowed lane,” states the Regional Directorate of the Police Force in Banská Bystrica, stating that the traffic accident and its documentation caused the complete closure of this section.
The green wave of STVR registers an accident on the R1 also beyond Nova Baňa towards Nitra at the 93rd kilometer. Two cars collided there. Two lanes are blocked and the section is difficult to pass.
