The pre-candidate for the Presidency of the Republic and senator Flávio Bolsonaro (PL-RJ), said this Thursday, 18, that he intends to declare criminal organizations, such as Primeiro Comando da Capital (PCC) and Comando Vermelho (CV), but also militias as terrorist organizations. The statement was made by the pre-candidate at an event to present a plan with 12 measures for the area of public security, called “Brazil without Fear”, in the capital of São Paulo.
“Terrorists will be treated as terrorists. We will declare PCC, Red Command and militias and all other factions as narco-terrorist organizations. They will be persecuted with force and intelligence so that their leaders are arrested and their illicit businesses are stifled”, said Flávio Bolsonaro.
According to him, to carry out this fight, intense cooperation is necessary with other powers, but also with the governments of other countries. For Flávio, the current president, Luis Inácio Lula da Silva (PT), “missed a great opportunity” to make major international agreements to strengthen the fight against crime in the country and did not do so because he is “incompetent or an accomplice of terrorist organizations”.
As the senator detailed, the plan also has proposals to build better border control, through the creation of a “National Border System”. “Rifles and drugs that supply 100% of the factions will be intercepted by land, ports and airspace. We will disorganize organized crime and stifle crime physically and financially”, he commented.
The event to present the proposals also included the participation of the pre-candidate for the government of Paraná, Sérgio Moro and the pre-candidate for the Senate for São Paulo, Guilherme Derrite, both from PL. According to Flávio, the two helped him prepare the plan.
Flávio is trying to expand his projection among the electorate in a scenario in which the most recent voting intention surveys indicate an increase in the advantage of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT). The strategy is to explore a positive agenda focused on public security, an issue considered one of the main vulnerabilities of Lula and the left.
