Eurofarma announced this Thursday (18) a new round of price reductions for semaglutide-based medicines and expanded the conditions offered by the EuroCuida patient support program. The measure involves the products Poviztra, indicated for obesity and overweight associated with comorbidities, and Extensior, for the treatment of type 2 diabetes.
According to the pharmaceutical company, the changes are already taking effect this month and aim to expand access to therapies based on GLP-1, a category that has seen strong growth in demand in Brazil, especially after the loss of Ozempic’s patent.
“With the new price reduction, Eurofarma reinforces its commitment to making innovative treatments even more accessible to Brazilians, with products that have a solid history of use on millions of patients, safely and effectively,” said Andréa Frazão, director of Medical Prescription at Eurofarma, in a statement.
With the new conditions, initial treatment with Poviztra now costs R$590 under the EuroCuida program, equivalent to R$295 per box for the first two dosages (0.25 mg and 0.5 mg). The next stage of treatment, with a dosage of 1 mg, will cost R$309 for patients who follow the program’s criteria, a 48% reduction compared to the values announced in April.
For individual purchases, without joining the program, prices were also reduced.

Launched in April this year, the EuroCuida program has patient monitoring benefits and differentiated purchasing conditions. According to Eurofarma, the program already has more than 200 thousand registered patients.
The medicines are the result of a partnership with Novo Nordisk and began to be sold in Brazil in October 2025. The pharmaceutical company states that the strategy combines price reduction, national capillarity and patient support to expand access to semaglutide in an increasingly competitive market.
