The senator’s stepson, Eduardo Sodré, allegedly demanded payments from Augusto Lima by mentioning bills, invoices and documents

The investigation uncovers transfers of R$3.5 million to BN Financeira, a company linked to the senator’s family members (PT-BA). The payments would have been made by PKL One, linked to the former partner of Banco Master, . Investigators are investigating whether the company was used to receive undue advantages from the institution controlled by .

According to the investigation, Eduardo Sodré, stepson of Jaques Wagner and linked to BN Financeira, collected payments from Augusto Lima. In the messages analyzed by the PF, he mentions bills, invoices, documents to be signed and other measures necessary to formalize the transfers.

In one of the messages, sent on September 4, 2015, Eduardo Sodré wrote to Augusto Lima: “The ticket is due tomorrow”.

The documents analyzed by the PF indicate that Augusto Lima attributed the difficulties in making payments to the failure of the sale of Banco Master to Banco de Brasília (BRB). For researchers, the mention reinforces the hypothesis that the transfers to BN Financeira may be related to the interests of the institution controlled by Vorcaro.

The PF is investigating whether the operation between BN Financeira and PKL One originated from services actually provided or whether it served to give the appearance of legality to transfers considered irregular.

According to the investigation, Eduardo Sodré is described as “a central legal entity in the axis of payments supposedly destined for Jaques Wagner’s family nucleus”. There is no indication, however, of what role he held at BN Financeira.

The Federal Police describe the company linked to Sodré as having reduced share capital and “apparently low operational capacity”. According to the investigation, this profile reinforces the need to verify whether BN Financeira had a structure compatible with the contracted services.
