The Popular Party registered a new motion this Thursday after the Congress Board’s veto of the PP and Junts amendments calling for elections. Apart from the text presented in the Senate that will be debated and voted on Wednesday, the popular group in the Lower House has proposed another one with the intention that this time it will pass the filter of the governing body chaired by the socialist Francina Armengol. For her part, the PSOE spokesperson, Montse Mínguez, has insisted that the party maintains “trust” in the former president of the Government José Luis Rodriguez Zapatero and asks that the presumption of innocence be respected while the investigation into the case progresses.
