Toy was on the program ‘Dois à 10’ this Thursday, June 18, talking to Cristina Ferreira about her new book ‘Coração Não Tem Age’.
The singer recalled a little about his life trajectory, both personally and professionally, and at one point spoke about his first marriage, which lasted “more than 26 years”, realizing that his father did not attend the ceremony, which took place in Germany.
“I, at 21 years old, was the youngest son and my father didn’t really believe in me, because he was always arrogant and so on and so he didn’t even come to my wedding…”he began by saying.
And he was then asked by Cristina Ferreira: “Didn’t he go to your wedding?”. “No, because he thought it wouldn’t lead to anything and that it wasn’t worth going to Germany to attend my wedding, my mother went, but he…”replied the singer.
Confronted about whether his father “ever showed he was sorry,” Toy responded: “My father had a financial problem and imagine who was the son who lent him money? Because I was crazy, but organized. My father needed it and I lent it, from then on my father respected me… Maybe I was the person my father respected the most until the end of his life”realized.
Remembering that Toy’s father, Antonio, passed away about six years ago, at 95 years old.
