Cristiano Ronaldo didn’t seem happy with the negative repercussion surrounding his name after his debut was deleted on World cup. During the Portuguese team’s training session this Friday (19), the star signaled for the press to leave after 15 minutes of free access and then joined a group of players.
The Portuguese number 7 has been the target of criticism from the world press during the World Cup. The renowned The Athleticfrom England, for example, published an analysis with the headline: “Cristiano Ronaldo seems a sad shadow of the great football player he once was”.
Former striker Thierry Henry, world champion in 1998, also pointed out flaws in his performance. Participating on a North American broadcaster, Henry analyzed the Portuguese’s performance and stated that the number 7 has displayed behavior that is excessively focused on goals, to the detriment of the collective game.
🇵🇹 Cristiano looks over at the press during training. Doesn’t say a word. Just waves them on to keep filming, then goes back to work. That was the whole message.
