USP opens applications for residency in the health sector

Rate reduction requests can be made until June 19; General registration runs from July 20th to September 4th

USP has open registration for the in uni-professional and multi-professional modalities, through PRCeu (Dean of Culture and University Extension) and Coremu (Multi-professional Residency Committee).

Registration, as well as selection, will be carried out by Fuvest and can be made from 12pm on July 20th until 12pm on September 4th. Candidates can request a reduction in the amount until June 19th in cases established by state law 12,782 of 2007. The registration fee is R$330.

Those who have completed or will complete their bachelor’s degree in the following undergraduate courses by February 28, 2027 can participate in the program:

  • biomedicine
  • physical education
  • nursing
  • pharmacy
  • physics/medical physics
  • physiotherapy
  • speech therapy
  • veterinary medicine
  • nutrition
  • dentistry
  • psychology
  • public health/collective health
  • social service
  • occupational therapy

Those selected will receive scholarships of R$4,106 per month, financed by the Ministry of Health. The residencies, in both forms of the notice, constitute a lato sensu postgraduate teaching category, with a workload of 60 hours per week, including shifts, and lasting 2 to 3 years.

The selection process is carried out in two stages. The 1st phase establishes objective and dissertation tests, on September 27th, in the municipalities of Bauru, Pirassununga, Ribeirão Preto and São Paulo. The 2nd phase will have a curricular analysis carried out by the selection process committee, based on the documents to be attached to the Fuvest website.
