They can’t explain it! Relatives and friends of the fitness enthusiast are coming to terms with his sudden death. A young man known for his gentle nature and contagious smile died after he suffered a severe brain injury. Twentysomething Trent Rutherford, who was in his early thirties, died on June 4informs the newspaper.
He fought for his life for more than a week. His devastated mother described how he was surrounded by love in his final moments. The Daily Mail reports that Rutherford, who was a carpenter by trade, lived in the Uluwatu area of southwest Bali with his long-term partner Bella Cignetti. However, he suffered a brain injury while in Australia.
The couple, who hail from Maroubra in the east of Sydney, Australia, moved to Bali in 2024 to launch several fitness businesses. In a touching tribute, his partner Bella said Trent brought love, laughter and happiness to the lives of everyone who was lucky enough to know him. “I would choose you in every single life, my love. You fought harder than anyone I’ve ever known,” she wrote on the social network.
“You are my soulmate, my greatest love and now also my angel who watches over me, protects me and guides me and many others,” added Bella. Finally, she sadly admitted that she was grateful for every single adventure, laugh, moment, and dream they shared together. “Thank you for choosing me, for loving me the way you did, and for giving me the most beautiful memories and life. Until we meet again, my love. I will love you forever and ever with all my heart,” she added.
Condolences and memories of Trent flooded social media, with many people describing him as a special person who had a heart of gold. A GoFundMe fundraiser has been launched to help Trent’s family cover funeral and other expenses.
“This is an incredibly difficult time for his family, his partner Bella and everyone who loved him,” said fundraiser and friend Sam Owens. “This fundraiser will continue to support Bella and Trent’s family as they cope with the unimaginable loss of a beloved partner, son, brother and friend.” he added in conclusion.
