The technician Carlo Ancelotti left open the possibility of choose Endrick as a starter in the match against Scotlandthis Wednesday (24), for the last round of the group stage of the 2026 World Cup.
Asked about the striker during the press conference this Tuesday (23), the coach stated that the young man has the conditions to act at any time during the competition.
“Endrick can play every game, he can play the next game and he can play at any time because he has,” said Ancelotti.
The coach also joked about the fact that part of the fans asked the attacker for an opportunity and the expectation for Neymar’s return.
“The fans push Endrick a lot, but tomorrow we also have Neymar. Will you? I think they will support both of them”he stated, drawing smiles from those present.
Endrick has been one of the since Brazil’s World Cup debut. In the victory over Haiti, the striker came on in the second half and found the net, but the goal ended up being disallowed due to offside.
Without confirming the lineup to face Scotland, Ancelotti indicated that the young striker remains an important option for the national team following the World Cup. The match will be played at the Hard Rock Stadium, in Miami, and is worth the lead in Group C.
Neymar’s condition
When asked about the number 10’s physical condition, the coach responded in a relaxed tone and drew laughter during the press conference.
“He can play. I can play. I can play 90 minutes walking”, joked the Italian.
Afterwards, Ancelotti adopted a more serious tone and reinforced Neymar’s evolution in the last days of preparation. Without confirming whether the striker will start among the starters, the coach highlighted that Neymar arrives at the clash in good condition and could be an important piece for the team.
“Neymar is available, he worked well this week, he prepared well for the game. We are all very happy. His quality can add a lot to the team”, he said.
