Unexpected step by STVR: After years, the controversial Igor Bukovsky returns

As reported by , Slovak Television and Radio (STVR) will expand the Radio Slovakia program with a new regular section dedicated to health and a healthy lifestyle from July 6. The project entitled Healthy living is easy will be prepared by doctor and nutritionist Igor Bukovsky.

The university educator and writer is known for his conflict with ex-prime minister Matovič and others regarding the risks and measures related to the coronavirus pandemic. Bukovsky should have downplayed the disease and encouraged the cancellation of measures. In September 2020, Matovič called Bukovsky a fool and a conspirator. It was also broadcast live on TA3 television. Bukovsky demanded an apology.

In the years 1993 to 1994, he was one of the protagonists of the show about losing weight, Enough is Enough! broadcast by Slovak television, studio in Košice, where he advised those losing weight together with Magda Paveleková, Dr. Leoš Střed and Jozef Vajda. Between 1990 and 2001, he was an employee of Slovak Radio and the author of several radio series on health and nutrition.

Bukovsky’s new project will be broadcast every weekday in the afternoon. “Slovenské rozhlas’ research shows that the areas of health, prevention and a healthy lifestyle are among the most sought-after and most popular lifestyle topics among listeners. The inclusion of a new section in the broadcast is therefore part of the effort to bring content to the audience that shows significant interest“, Zuzana Vicelová, head of the STVR Communications Department, told Denník N.

The well-known doctor has in the show Healthy living is easy talk about nutrition, prevention and a healthy lifestyle. The goal is to popularize health topics and offer listeners specific recommendations for everyday life.
