State TV CANTV (Compañía Anônima Nacional Teléfonos de Venezuela) said it will offer internet, landline and television services free of charge for 48 hours.

“When we went down, the scene looked like something out of a horror movie,” said Maria Alejandra, a resident of a neighboring building, who declined to give her last name.
“We had to climb over the rubble and everything. The building’s caretaker with the baby and all the neighbors coming down. But, from that building, I only saw that family manage to get out,” he added.
