Israel’s military operation in the Gaza strip is expanding to take “large areas,” said the country’s Minister of Defense, Israel Katz, in a statement on Wednesday morning, 2 hours after air bombing in Khan Youis city killing 17 people, according to region hospitals.
Israel’s offensive in Palestinian territory was “expanding to crush and clean the terrorist area and seize large areas that will be added to Israel State Security Zones,” says Katz’s statement.
He still appealed to Gaza’s residents to “expel Hamas and return all hostages.” The group still has 59 Israeli hostages. Source: Associated Press.
