Portugal became this Saturday European Champion of Under-23 Skating Hockey in Sant Sadurnen D’Omiaia, Barcelona, beating the champion in Spain title on the tieing by Penaltis (2-1), after the 4-4 draw in extension.
After losing, in 2023, in Paredes, the first edition of the European U23 for Spain, played in the form of mini championship, the Portuguese team returned with the winning of the title in one of the Spanish skate hockey cathedral.
Four goals from Lucas Honório, who had already scored five in the 8-5 defeat against the Spaniards in the group stage, allowed Portugal to take the decision of the game, after 3-3 and 4-4 in extension, for the decision in the penalties, in which goalkeeper Gonçalo Bento was in evidence (2-1).
