Therefore, the minister understood that the lawsuit in state justice should await trial by the Supreme. The TJ-SP had welcomed APEOESP action, the largest teachers’ union of the state network. The entity claims that issues related to this modality of education are of federal competence the management Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicans), however, defends the prerogative of the State to create the program.
According to the São Paulo government, 300 schools showed interest in the adoption of the civic-military model in public consultation. The adhesion of schools to the program is voluntary. The initial forecast of implementation was for 2026, but in February the State Department of Education announced 100 schools that should adopt the model from the second half of this year.
