The new geopolitical and international security challenges will be discussed at the 22nd Fort International Security Conference, the largest forum on the subject in Latin America, which will take place on June 10 in Rio de Janeiro.
The event will have as its theme “Beyond the Tipping Point” and will bring together authorities and experts. Among the speakers is former Foreign Minister Antonio Patriota, current ambassador to Brazil in the United Kingdom.
He will give a lecture on the new dynamics of international security: “Ten years ago, Henry Kissinger, in ‘World Order’, warned against a future dictation by forces beyond the control of any order. Although legal instruments that reject territorial achievement and respect national sovereignty, they form the basis of the present international system, indomitable unilateral impulses challenges the premises of such order,” he says, “he says Patriot.
Among the points that must be addressed at the conference are the relationship between climate action, multilateral cooperation and international security. The Donald Trump government, although not the center of the debate, should appear in lines and discussions.
