Adiel Pereira Alcântara states that the then director of operations of the corporation ordered the agency to reinforce the approaches of vehicles that went to the Northeast
The Intelligence Coordinator of the (Federal Highway Police) during the government of the former president (PL), Adiel Pereira Alcântara, stated in testimony at the Supreme Court (STF) on Monday (19.MAI.2025) that the then director of operations of the corporation, Djairlon Henrique Moura, ordered the agency to reinforce bus and vans during the 2022 presidential elections- by the President (PT).
Alcântara was nominated by the PGR (Attorney General’s Office) as a witness of prosecution at the trial for coup attempt in 2022. The 1st Class of the Supreme Court (Supreme Court) began the testimonies of Nucleus 1 on Monday (19.MAI). Bolsonaro and former PRF general director Silvinei Vasques are defendants.
According to the former coordinator, the director of operations wanted the intelligence area to help approach vehicles that were destined for the Northeast, Lula’s electoral stronghold.
“Among the guidelines that were discussed at the meeting, Djairlon’s inspector, who was the operations director, he asked for intelligence director, Inspector Reischak, for intelligence to support the operations area on the indicative of bus and vans approaches that originated the states of Goiás, Sao Paulo, Minas and Rio de Janeiro and destination in the Northeast.”these.
He also stated that when he questioned the reason for the approach to aim only at the vehicles that were destined for the region, he heard as a justification that these states had a high incidence of accidents in the period.
“I didn’t convince myself, and I transpareted that I found that order strange. And then he said, I don’t know what context he said, but he said more or less: ‘There are things they are, and there are things that seem to be. It’s time for the PRF to take side. [Silvinei Vasques]”he declared.
Remember the case
During the 2nd round of the 2022 presidential elections, held on October 30, which had then President Jair Bolsonaro and current President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva (PT) in the election, the PRF performed blitzes in some locations in the Northeast.
The actions disregarded the determination of the then president of the TSE (Superior Electoral Court) Alexandre de Moraes, who had banned the corporation from performing operations that could disrupt votes and are accused of trying to prevent the petista’s voters from voting. According to the Electoral Court, the intervention delayed voters in those elections.
Witnesses
The 1st Class of the STF began the testimonies of Nucleus 1 this Monday (19.MAI). The hearings are held by video conferencing and there will be no official transmission.
The press follows testimonials through a big screen installed in the 1st class room of the STF. But journalists are prohibited from making any kind of recording.
They are part of nucleus 1, besides Bolsonaro:

In all, 82 witnesses must be heard. Among the names are former commanders of the Armed Forces Marco Antonio Freire Gomes (Army) and Carlos de Almeida Baptista Júnior (Aeronautics), as well as the governor of São Paulo, Tarcisio de Freitas (Republicans).
