The transport wing of the air base kitchen in the district of Malacky landed on the Wednesday of the Spanish helicopter unit. It is a planned procedure for the deployment of the forwarding military presence of the North Atlantic Alliance (NATO) in accordance with decisions that were taken in 2022, 2023.
In the following period, helicopters from the airport will be fulfilled by the kitchen in favor of NATO units deployed in Lester. The ceremony was attended by Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces (OS) of the Slovak Republic Miroslav Lorinc, who said it was the first exercise of this kind when Spain as a leading country in a multinational brigade develops from a special -purpose group to the level of ground forces. “The exercise will last until approximately 11 June, then heavy helicopters fly back to Spain and the other three will remain the forward presence on the Sliač traffic wing,“Explained.
There are about 50 soldiers in the Spanish section. Two helicopters have the ability to attack, one is with multi -purpose propulsion. Helicopters can participate in special transport of external cargo and internal cargo. Two more helicopters are transported by a medical team with sanitary capabilities.
