Jerónimo Guerreiro lost his life in the Kupiansk region in the Kharkiv area, to fight alongside the Ukrainian forces on May 29. Speaking to CNN Portugal, another Portuguese soldier fighting in the same country since 2022, João – known as ‘Tuga’ – regrets the death of his colleague in combat.
