STF minister erases “more” and puts “but” in an order on Bolsonaro, but omits comma before the adversative conjunction
The Minister of the Supreme Court (STF) Alexandre de Moraes corrected a Portuguese error in an order of this Thursday (24.Jul.2025) against the former president (PL). Moraes wrote: “Justice is blind but not foolish”exchanging “but” for “more”. Read the 1st version (PDF – 204 KB).

However, after the correction, he kept the sentence without comma – which contradicts the grammatical rules of the Portuguese language:
The minister corrected the error in complementary order after repercussion on social networks. The decision deals with the former president by the Supreme Court. Read the corrected version (PDF – 213 KB).
The minister warned Bolsonaro for appearing on a video released on allied social networks, which would violate the prohibition of direct or indirect use of the platforms.
Moraes stressed that the use of third party networks also configures infringement and threatened to decree immediate arrest in case of recurrence. The phrase with grammatical error appeared precisely in this warning stretch.
