Corinthian is sentenced to pork head arrest – 18/08/2025 – Esporte

Corinthian fan Osni Fernando Luiz, 36, was sentenced by São Paulo justice to a sentence of a year in prison under a crime against peace in sports. It is up to appeal.

In November 2024, at Neo Chemistry Arena, a pork head was thrown on the lawn during a match between Palmeiras and Corinthians, won by the alvinegro team. The fan who turned the pitch of the stands was not identified, but the investigations concluded that Osni bought the head of the dead animal and took her to the stadium.

According to the prosecutor, he threw his head in a bag over the stadium gradile towards the southern stands. Security cameras images showed that, in the stands, a person with a ninja cap took his head and threw it on the lawn.

“The conduct of the accused aimed at promoting rioting in the sports event, inciting the other fans present at the stadium,” said prosecutor Daniela Hashimoto in the complaint, citing that the head of the pig is an allusion to the Palmeiras mascot.

One of the tests presented against the fan was a video posted on Instagram in which, holding a pig’s head, he said that “everyone would see what would happen” during the game, asking him to be followed on the social network. A filter had been used in the video so that his face was covered by a clown makeup, but he was recognized by neighbors.

To the police, Osni confirmed that he owns the profile on the social network, as well as having bought the pork head at Mercadão da Lapa for $ 60. He said he threw the bag into the stadium, but does not know who threw the animal’s head in the field. He said he made such an act with the purpose of a “healthy rivalry.”

Subsequently, to court, he modified his version. He said he acquired the piece to take a picture and to take it before the game. He declared not to remember the video on the social network and did not give his head of pork to anyone, leaving her on the table she barbecue before the game.

“The prosecution could not prove that the defendant committed any conduct with direct or eventual intent,” his defense told the court.

Judge Fabrício Reali Zia said in the sentence that the head of a dead animal does not symbolize “healthy rivalry” between the teams and that Osni’s conduct incited the violence among rival fans.

As he has criminal records, having been previously convicted of crime of damage (destruction of the thing of others), he did not receive the benefits provided by law. The fan may appeal the conviction in freedom.
