STF uses state -of -the -art technology for Bolsonaro judgment

The security of the Three Powers will be reinforced from next week (2), with the beginning of the trial of former President Jair Bolsonaro (PL).

In joint operation with the Supreme Court (STF) Judicial Police, the Federal District Public Security Bureau will use state -of -the -art equipment, including drones with thermal image capacity.

According to the responsible authorities, the use of drones will allow daily scanning to detect movements and objects at great distance, even without lighting.

The authorities also mentioned that the adoption of “preventive measures” is to ensure security during the trial, providing “tranquility for the progress of the work”.

When will Bolsonaro trial be?

The trial of former President Jair Bolsonaro and seven other defendants of the Criminal Action core 1 that investigates an attempted coup d’état in 2022.

Minister Cristiano Zanin, president of the collegiate, scheduled sessions in five days for the discussions. In two of these, the trial takes place from 9am to 12pm. In the other three days, there will be two daily sessions: one from 9am to 12pm and one from 14h to 19h.

As the judgments of the STF classes occur only on Tuesdays in the afternoon, Zanin scored six extra sessions to analyze the case. The analysis may last, in all, 27 hours.

The defendants will not need to attend the judgment in the Supreme Court. As found in CNNLieutenant Colonel Mauro Cid, for example, chose not to appear to avoid embarrassment with the other defendants.
