In front of around a hundred guests, the Guadeloupean judoka wanted to thank everyone who contributed to his success, from his first coach to his mother, including his psychologist from INSEP and, of course, his wife Luthna Plocus.

This evening was marked by moments of nostalgia, with videos retracing the major stages of Teddy Riner’s career, and festive moments, such as an auction for the benefit of the champion’s association.
Teddy Riner’s tender declaration for his wife Luthna
The great sportsman took the time to return, whom he met in 2007 during the world judo championships in Rio. At the time, the latter worked in communications, and their relationship, born from a friendshipturned into a beautiful love story.

The president of the French Judo Federation, Stéphane Nomis, welcomed “the greatest champion of all time“. The guests (including Claudia Tagbo and her partner Myriam) also enjoyed musical performances, before an auction, for the benefit of the association, closed the evening. The funds raised will be used to support solidarity projects dear to the heart of the champion.
