The participation of Brazilian content in the catalogs of the 25 main video on demand platforms available in the country remained practically stable in 2024, with a slight drop compared to 2023, according to a survey by the (National Cinema Agency).
This year, according to the agency, national content represented 8.5% of the total works available on these platforms, compared to 8.8% in 2023.
When considering the five platforms with the largest audience, however, this difference is greater. The share of Brazilian works available in these catalogs was 7% of the total in 2024, compared to 8.5% in 2023.
The data is included in an Ancine survey that will be released this week.
