Actor Selton Mello gained a somewhat unusual look-alike this Sunday afternoon (1/12), after holding a contest looking for the person most similar to the actor, in Rio de Janeiro. The person who won the dispute was the young Ramon Carneiro, who called himself “the first black lookalike of Selton Mello”.

He won over the fans gathered at Estação NET de Cinema, but began his campaign for victory last Friday. On social media, he revealed that he would participate in the contest and asked his followers for photos.
“If you can, vote for me. Why does Selton Mello have to be only white? Vote for me for the first black Selton Mello, in favor of inclusion and diversity”, he joked in one of the videos.

In his victory speech, he took the opportunity to thank people for their engagement on social media. “Thank you to everyone who supported this pataquada. (…) Why not, right? Why can’t Selton Mello be black? Why can’t Selton Mello be gay?”, he joked.
As a reward, he took home a blender, as a reference to the film Reflections of a Blender, in which the actor voices the appliance. In addition, he won five tickets to see films at the street cinema.
