Vienna – The government has maintained the ongoing negotiations on the increase in pensions for 2026. Since Chancellor Christian Stocker (ÖVP), who spoke out for an increase below the statutory adaptation factor of 2.7 percent at the beginning of the week, and the subsequent throbbing of the SPÖ for a full adjustment for smaller and medium -sized pensions is running in the direction of social relief.
