Former President Michel Temer (MDB) said on Monday (15) that an amnesty unilaterally decreed by the National Congress will not work. In his assessment, any debate on amnesty or the penalty reduction of those convicted by the scammer acts of January 8 should be conducted by the three powers. The statement occurred during participation in Roda Viva, from TV Cultura.
Temer said agreeing with the Supreme Court Minister (STF).
“It is very right. He confirms what I have said over time. If the amnesty is decreed, by Congress, without this national pact I am saying. The national pact would be to sit the President of the Republic, the president of the Supreme, the presidents of the legislature with civil society entities and even the opposition. You could call the opposition: come here, let’s find a way to the country. Only from the legislature, it will be taken to the Supreme. And in this sense Minister Flávio Dino is right.

The former president argues that forgiveness, to take effect, must come from a “national pact” and not a unilateral act.
“If the powers all gathered, if they called the opposition, if they called civil society entities, you would have at least one gesture of political civility.”
Tarcisio’s attack
In the same interview, the former president dealt with “unhappiness” the attacks of the governor of São Paulo, Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicans), to Minister Alexandre de Moraes, of the STF. :

“He’s very thoughtful. In this case, there was an unhappiness of him. How can you explain this? I think it was the political climate in which he had to involve the pockets. Because even among pockets there was criticism of his position. He wanted to bring the pockets. I know he gets along with the Supreme Minister.
This Monday, President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva received mayor, Hugo Motta (Republicans-PB), for a lunch at the palace of Alvorada. At the meeting, Lula reinforced his position so that the House does not vote project that amnesty those involved in the acts of January 8. The petista stressed that the government is contrary to the project that can benefit former President Jair Bolsonaro.
During Roda Viva, Temer stated that, instead of Motta, would submit the decision to guide the amnesty to the college of leaders, because the pen is not just his.
