An electronic monitoring program implemented two years ago in São Paulo has already resulted in the arrest of 113 offenders, of which 73 were women’s aggressors – the equivalent of 65% of the total. The initiative is the result of a partnership between (SSP) and (TJ-SP), focusing on combating domestic violence. The system uses electronic anklets to follow in real time accused who meet an open sentence or benefited from parole.
