Now it was Estonia: Three Russian fighters were in Airspace of Nato for 12 minutes

Estonian government calls for rapid political and economic pressure to rule out the growing threat of an increasingly aggressive opponent

Poland, Romania and now Estonia. There is a third country of the born -target of an intrusion on the part of Russia, which continues to direct its aircraft to the Atlantic Alliance space.

Three Russian fighters were detected at Estonia’s airspace, confirmed that country’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, adding that he summoned Russia’s business officer because of this same incident.

Three MIG -31 fighters – similar to the fighter that can be seen in the image associated with the article – entered Estonia airspace by Finland’s Gulf without any permission, having remained in airspace that is also from NATO for 12 minutes, according to the Estonian authorities.

“Russia had already violated Estonia’s airspace four times this year, which in itself is unacceptable. But today’s raid, which involved three fighters entering our airspace, is an unprecedented boldness,” said Estonia Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna.

“Russia is increasing and extending tests of its boundaries and increased aggressiveness should be answered with a rapid increase in political and economic pressure,” he added.

This is another case of violation of NATO airspace, and Estonia is an former Soviet Republic, which makes it a country particularly sensitive to the eventual expansionist ambitions of Vladimir Putin.

The Polish case was the most serious, with various drones entering the territory of the Atlantic alliance, leading the defensive forces to act and later launching, which led to the border of Poland a series of air assets, including from France and Germany.
