FDA will issue a warning about paracetamol risk during pregnancy, says Kennedy Jr

According to US President Donald Trump, who participated in a press conference with Kennedy Jr., FDA will recommend that women limit the use of Tyleno

United States Secretary of Health and Human Services, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., said on Monday that the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) will issue medicals about acetaminophen risk during pregnancy, linking the relationship of drug use to autism in children.

According to US President Donald Trump, who has participated in a press conference with Kennedy Jr., FDA will recommend that women limit the use of tylenol – which has acetaminophen as an active ingredient – during pregnancy, unless it is “medically necessary”. “Only women who ‘can’t stand’ should take Tylenol,” the president added.

Kennedy Jr. stated that the action will include a change in acetaminophen labels and also linked the use of the drug to Hyperactivity Care Deficit Diagnoses (ADHD).
