The team of Slovak rescuers that arrived in Venezuela on Monday has not yet managed to find any survivors of last week’s earthquake. On Tuesday, the Fire and Rescue Service (HaZZ) reported about it on the social network. On Tuesday morning, the rescuers were assigned a sector in the coordination center, in which they then started searching for missing persons around 06:00. local time, HaZZ said.
“We have been walking around the various ruins of various buildings trying to find any living persons that the locals claimed might be here. Unfortunately, so far, it is approximately 1:00pm local time, we have not been able to find any living persons, so there is a shift in service.” said a representative of the rescuers in a video on the social network.
The other half of the team will arrive at the scene and will continue to search for the missing in another assigned sector. Rescuers from different parts of the world come to help the South American country. A Slovak rescue team consisting of 15 members of the Fire and Rescue Service, five members of the Mountain Rescue Service and four search dogs flew to Venezuela on the morning of Sunday, June 28.
