United States President Donald Trump said on Thursday, 25, at the White House Oval Hall, that he reached an understanding with China about the future of Tiktok in the country. “I had a great conversation with China President Xi Jinping,” said the Republican, announcing that he signed an executive order “saving Tiktok from a ban” in the US.
According to Trump, US investors will take control of the US application operation, with a relevant role of Oracle in the platform’s safety.
He also added that “all political opinions will be treated fairly by the Tiktok algorithm.” Trump also said that investors include names like Michael Dell and Rupert Murdoch, with Oracle having “great involvement” in the business.
