The national president of the PSDB (Brazilian Social Democracy Party), Marconi Perillo, announced on Saturday (27) his pre-candidacy to run for the Government of Goiás in the elections of 2026. The event was held at the Goiás Legislative Assembly, in Goiânia.
“I accept the challenge, my sleeves are already rolled up,” Marconi said in his speech.
The toucan was at the head of the state command by four terms: from 1999 to 2002; from 2003 to 2006; from 2011 to 2014; and from 2015 to 2018. He also held the positions of state deputy, federal deputy and senator by Goiás.
The announcement was organized by AGEXP (Goiás Association of Former Mayors) during the celebration of Marconi’s 30th anniversary as affiliated with the PSDB. The meeting participated in the meeting mayors and councilors of Goiás, as well as names such as the former governor of the state José Eliton (PSB).
Marconi with 15.6% of voting intentions, according to a survey released by the Atlasintel Institute on Friday (26). Currently, who lead the race for the post is the current deputy governor, Daniel Vilela (MDB).
