Mariana Vieira da Silva says it was in the PS governments that the municipalities were most able to improve education and health. The former minister joined the socialist campaign in Aveiro, where the PSD has been in power for 20 years.

The former minister says that in the time of Costa, the mayors had more power in education, health and transport. “Everything that makes a difference in the lives of our citizens, that was the choice of the socialist party. But where the PS really makes the difference is when it leads the municipalities, that’s when this local power combines.”
In the first campaign as a leader, Carneiro wants to take the PS out of secondary roles. “Feeling that it is from again and the local power that we will put the PS where it should be, as the first space of freedom, equality and fraternity in Portugal.”
At a turn to the last week, the campaign movie accelerates and after Aveiro, the leader was still Alenquer. It was a day with over 400 kilometers. After all, every corner of the country tells you to try to rebuild a party that in the last election was third in the podium.
