The owners of a high-end building in which Banco Master rented one and a half floors, in Miami, are trying to speed up the eviction action of the financial institution, which is in the process of extrajudicial liquidation. Watson Brickell, owner of 830 Brickell Plaza, filed a request with the North American Court to speed up the analysis of an agreement signed with Master’s liquidator, EFB Regimes Especiais.
Master rented the entire 44th floor and half of the 45th floor of the building. Signed in July 2024, the contract provided for monthly payments of US$423,000 (around R$2 million).
Stopping payments in September last year. In addition to the rent, Master made a security deposit of US$3.6 million, used to restore payments in case of default.
When contacted, the defense of Master’s former owner, Daniel Vorcaro, stated that he would not comment on the eviction.
After the US Court recognized the effects of the bank’s liquidation in that country, Master’s eviction was blocked as part of the process. The rooms had already been emptied.
According to Watson Brickell, however, in recent weeks, two clients were interested in renting the spaces. The liquidator and the real estate company then reached an agreement on the lease.

Now, the parties want the Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Florida to schedule an emergency hearing, until Wednesday, 29, to analyze the understanding and proceed with the eviction.
In the petition released this Wednesday, lawyers claim that, without a favorable decision, there would be a “significant risk” that potential tenants would give up on the deal.
“Watson Brickell believes that if it can obtain the requested relief by April 29, 2026, the risk that prospective tenants will back out will be substantially reduced,” the piece says.
One of the most expensive corporate addresses in Miami, the 57-story building is in the financial heart of the city and houses offices for large companies, such as Microsoft and Citadel. The glass-enclosed skyscraper also has an exclusive restaurant with panoramic views.
