In Banská Bystrica during the night from Thursday (9 October) for Friday to fire an apartment building in the Sásová housing estate. One person lost their lives in the event, and the inhabitants of the affected apartment had to evacuate. On the social network, the city police informed the Banská Bystrica.
“On the sixth floor of an apartment building on Starohorská Street, an extensive fire broke out, which, despite the immediate resuscitation of members of the city police and firefighters, claimed one victim,” The municipal police stated that other residents of the house managed to evacuate to safety.
More than 20 members of the Fire and Rescue Corps (HaZZ) intervened at the scene of the event. “At the time of the arrival of HaZZ members, the apartment was completely affected by a fire and the apartment building was heavily smoked,” Informed the Operational Center of the Regional Directorate of HaZZ in Banská Bystrica, saying that the evacuation bus was also called to the place.
