Xapuri producer wins 3rd edition of Qualicafé with Robusta Amazônia coffee with sweet and full-bodied notes

The Robusta Amazônia coffee produced by José Sebastião de Oliveira, from Xapuri, a city known as the “Little Princess of Acre”, won first place in the 3rd edition of the Acre Robusta Amazônico Coffee Quality Competition (Qualicafé).

The producer received R$55,000 for the coffee rated 89.5 points, standing out for its notes of honey, caramel and milk pudding, in addition to having a full-bodied body.

Second place went to Valderi da Silva, from Assis, who obtained 88.3 points with a creamy coffee, with notes of dulce de leche and brown sugar, receiving R$29,315.15. Third place was won by Raimundo do Nascimento Silva, from Acrelândia, with coffee with a smooth, fruity and liqueur body, with notes of cherry jam, which reached 86.8 points and received R$14,100.

Qualicafé is promoted by the government of Acre, through the State Department of Agriculture (Seagri), and aims to value Robusta coffee produced in the state.
