On Saturday, at the state party conference of the SPÖ Vorarlberg, Vice Chancellor Andreas Babler (SPÖ) called for a “solidarity contribution” from medical students to strengthen the statutory health system. Anyone who commits to working as a statutory health insurance doctor “for a few years” should be given priority when applying for a place at university. The legal options for this are currently being examined, said Babler.
