Every day, many people walk past the message that has adorned the construction site of the presidential office for almost two and a half years: “Democracy must be renewed every day.” Many people probably miss the sentence in the inner courtyard. He sounds natural. But in 2025, nothing about democracy can be taken for granted. There is a warning in this sentence – especially today, when it is crumbling in many places.
