Hamas releases list of living hostages; names match those released by Israel

The military wing of the radical Islamic group Hamas, the Al-Qassam Brigades, released the names of the 20 live hostages who are expected to be released in the early hours of this Monday (13), Brasília time.

The list coincides with the names of living hostages presented by Israel, who must be released in the first phase of the ceasefire agreement to end the conflict in the Palestinian territory of the Gaza Strip.

At the moment, ICRC (International Committee of the Red Cross) convoys are positioning themselves to collect hostages in Gaza.

In Israel, around 2,000 Palestinian prisoners involved in the agreement board buses.

At the moment, the President of the United States, Donald Trump, the main guarantor of the agreement between Israel and Hamas, is heading to Israeli territory, where he meets with the country’s Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, and speaks in parliament. He is expected to meet with family members of hostages.

From Israel, Trump will head to Egypt, where he will meet with more than 20 global leaders, such as Emmanuel Macron (France) and Keir Starmer (United Kingdom), to discuss the future of the Gaza Strip after two years of conflict.
