No precursor to adult content: stricter youth protection on Instagram

By AndreaPosted on14.10.2025
Time to Read:-words

Instagram is introducing new youth protection guidelines that are based on the film industry’s age ratings. The new regulation initially applies in the USA, Canada, Australia and Great Britain. In the four countries, young people under the age of 18 will only see content on Instagram that is comparable to a film with a US rating of PG-13. This setting applies by default and can only be changed with parental consent.
