The president (PT) meets this Tuesday (14) with the Minister of Mines and Energy, after the early hours of this Tuesday.
The blackout occurred after a fire in the reactor of the transmission system at the Bateias substation, in the municipality of Campo Largo (), at 0:32 am, which shut down the entire installation and caused blackouts in the five regions of the country.
The minister gave the program Good Morning, Minister, where he stated that the blackout did not occur due to a lack of energy, but because of a “problem in the infrastructure that transmits the energy”.
The meeting was added to the president’s agenda at around 2:30 pm. The meeting between the two is scheduled to take place at 3:30 pm.
